Customer Service Representative
Description:
The Customer Service Representative will be responsible for the daily administrative and customer service requirements in the main office for the Chappelle Gardens Residents Association (CGRA). This position reports to the General Manager of Chappelle Gardens Residents Association.
Duties:
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Customer Service Representative will be responsible for the following:
Qualifications:
- Proven customer service skills through work or community involvement

- Willing to assist in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner
- Excellent communication
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Ability to travel offsite as required
Administrative & Facility Functions:
- Maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the Social House and amenities
- Cleaning the facility, including common areas, event spaces, and high-traffic areas
- Customer care and service capabilities as you will be working closely with customers, residents, and program coordinators
- Working in a team environment as well as independently on specific tasks; proactive in assisting co-workers and residents
- Setting up and tearing down programming and events, including moving tables, chairs, and equipment as needed
- Being assigned roles during events to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Preparing and providing great customer service for Social House events and bookings
- Handling membership profiles and issuing membership cards
- Receiving payment for membership fees, programs, and room rentals
- Additional duties as assigned
Offsite Responsibilities:
- Working scheduled shifts at the Showhome Village to inform potential community members about the function and benefits of the Social House
- Engaging with visitors and answering questions about membership, amenities, and community events
- Representing CGRA professionally while promoting community involvement
- Requirement to travel offsite as needed
- This is a temporary scope anticipated to end in September of 2025
Safety:
- Managing and maintaining the CGRA safety program
- Ensuring all Workplace Health and Safety requirements are met, including CGRA’s safety policies and procedures
- Ensuring safe work conditions exist at all times
Hours of Employment:
- Hours of employment are specifically for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, as well as Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 1:45 pm.
- Hours range from 16 to 20 per week and are performance-based.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 – 20 per week
Salary: $15.00-$16.50 per hour

- Night shift
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Customer service: 2 years (required)

- English (required)
Work Location: In person (with offsite shifts as required)
